Iwanted her too. Everything was built around the elemental four. They were coddled and treated like royalty, while I was always working in the greenhouse and building my entire life around them. After everything that happened with Kimber, I needed to get away. I needed to refocus my energy in order to manifest what I really wanted and needed in life. I really wanted Willow. She was the poisoned green apple always tempting me. She was the snake whispering sweet nothings, but never in my ear. The way she shook her ass when she walked, she invited me to her. However, the invitation wasn’t ever received.

Pushing the thoughts out of my head, I walked around the village trying to figure out what was going on. Zaire and I were always close. Although we resembled the prophecy between Hera and Kimber, I was the black-haired child and was always presumed I could be the next one to cause chaos. It was always a possibility, but I did everything I could to build our village. With the help of Lotus, I built our first of many greenhouses. I kept our herbs and natural plants growing constantly. We could sell the fruits and vegetables in other towns for additional money we might need. Arianna and I helped put together our own soup kitchen where we would feed the village and serve everyone. We just asked for everyone to donate or contribute meat and vegetables as they were able, or make enough bread for all 200 of us. We had a small village, but it was home. I wanted to make a difference, so I did everything I could to make sure I wasn’t labeled as the rotten child who would ruin our worlds.

The soup kitchen was quite amazing. We had soup and sandwiches most of the time, but occasionally, we would have a big salad to go with a feast of other meals we put together. Everyone had a hearty meal for dinner. There were danishes and bread to have for in the morning. Typically, there is enough to have a second helping and most times there was plenty of food left for leftovers.

When I saw the beautiful maiden sitting at the greenhouse, I couldn’t help but stare at her. She walked to the altar and sat on her knees. She placed a heart necklace onto the pillar and began talking to the Gods and Goddesses. I felt wrong for listening to this intimate conversation with her, but at the same time, I needed some time with her alone. After all, I did save her life. We all did. However, I was faster and stronger than Zaire. I was the better choice.

I was always the better choice. Wasn’t I? I was still a virgin. I also had the birthmark. I also had an elemental trait. I came from a long line of water elements.

Ice was still an element, right? At least it wasn't a shadow or stone. That would be a bit harder to explain.
